UYL : Nigeria-eligible striker nets brace as Chelsea thrash Malmo 5-0
Nigeria-eligible striker Bryan Fiabema continued his fine goalscoring form as Chelsea thrashed Swedish opponents Malmo 5-0 on matchday four of the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday afternoon.

The Norway youth international started for the Blues and was replaced by another player of Nigerian descent Louis Flower in the 79th minute, while 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Prince Adegoke was on the bench.

When it seemed the first half would end goalless, Fiabema beat two defenders and headed in to open the scoring in the 40th minute and doubled the advantage four minutes later with another close range effort.

Lewis Hall's header in the 58th minute made it 3-0, Alfie Gilchrist increased the lead on 76 minutes before Charlie Webster volleyed in a fifth goal for the Blues in the 90th minute.

Fiabema's brace today against the Scandinavian opponents took his tally for the season to eight goals in all competitions for Chelsea youth teams.

The 18-year-old netted three of his goals in the UEFA Youth League, registered four in the Premier League 2 and one in the EFL Trophy.

In the UEFA Youth League Group H standings, Chelsea are second with nine points, one less than table toppers Juventus.
