Nigeria-eligible striker is lowest paid player at Manchester United, takes home N230m p.a
Published: November 17, 2021The Mirror UK has published a list of the lowest earners at every English Premier League club, with two Nigeria-eligible attack-minded youngsters the lowest-paid players at their respective clubs.
Shoretire Shoretire is the bottom-earning player at the Red Devils with wages of 8,000 pounds every week, meaning he would end up pocketing at least £416,000 pounds per annum (approximately N230 million in Nigerian currency).
The England U19 international saw his wages increase to £8,000-a-week after putting pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Red Devils in February, eight years after joining the club on schoolboy terms.
Shoretire appeared in two Premier League matches last season and became the youngest player in history to feature for
Manchester United in European competition when he came off the bench
against Real Sociedad back in February.
The Anglo-Nigerian was named the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year for 2020-2021 on the back of his brilliant performances for Manchester United's development squad.
Meanwhile, the lowest paid of the Southampton first teamers is Anglo-Nigerian winger Nathan Tella, who is paid £12,000 per week.
The former Arsenal schoolboy has made three Premier League appearances off the bench so far in 2021-2022.
