Olise becomes third Nigeria-eligible player to be awarded Premier League debut ball 2021-22 season

Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has become the third Nigeria-eligible player to be awarded a Premier League debut ball in the 2021-2022 season.
The Eagles informed through their official website on Thursday that Olise has been awarded his debut ball by the Premier League.
A debut ball is given to all homegrown debutants who have been developed at an Academy of a club in the English football pyramid for three years or more prior to their 21st birthday.
Each player receives an official Nike match ball from the season of their debut, housed in a personalised, engraved case.
Olise made his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur on September 11, playing the last four minutes of a 3-0 win and provided a secondary assist for the third goal netted by Odsonne Edouard.
The former Chelsea schoolboy follows in the footsteps of Watford center back William Troost-Ekong and Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun who received debut balls earlier in the season following their Premier League bows against Aston Villa and Brentford respectively on the opening day of the season.
Troost-Ekong is classed as a homegrown player having spent his formative years as a footballer at Tottenham Hotspur.
