Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has confirmed that Eberechi Eze is set to be involved in some capacity when his side battle Leeds United in a Premier League matchday 14 clash at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
The former England U21 international, a player of interest to Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick, has been named in the provisional squad and traveled with the team to LS11 0ES.
Eze made his comeback against Aston Villa at the weekend, his first appearance in the Premier League in 195 days, playing the last 30 minutes of a 2-1 loss.
Prior to his season debut, the attacking midfielder featured in two matches for the Eagles development squad to build up his match fitness.
In quotes relayed by the official website of Crystal Palace, Vieira stated : "[Eze] will travel to Leeds. I think it’s good for him, it’s good for the club, and it’s good for the fans as well.
"He needs to play games. He needs time to get to his best, and we will give him the support that he needs."
Crystal Palace number 10 Eze impressed in his maiden season in the English top-flight, scoring four goals and setting up six others in 34 appearances.
