PL 2 : West Ham United winger Okoflex scores another hat-trick
Published: December 06, 2021Armstrong Okoflex's rich vein of form continued as West Ham United came from a goal down to thrash Crystal Palace 4-2 in a Premier League 2 match at Crystal Palace Training Ground on Monday afternoon.
The former Arsenal schoolboy and Eagles striker David Omilabu went the distance for their respective teams.
Jay Rich-Baghuelou broke the deadlock with a header from close range after nine minutes and the Hammers had to wait until the 45th minute for the equaliser when Okoflex converted a spot kick.
After Crystal Palace restored their one-goal lead in the 52nd minute, Okoflex brought the game back to parity again when he smashed home at minute 59.
The Republic of Ireland youth international of Nigerian descent won and converted a penalty just past the hour mark to give the visitors the lead for the first time in the game, and Swyer added a fourth goal in the 82nd minute to make sure of the points.
Okoflex's treble against Palace has seen him hit double figures in the Premier League 2, ten goals from thirteen appearances so far this season.
The 19-year-old bagged his first hat-trick in the division on the opening day of the season against his former employer Arsenal.
