Brentford boss namechecks Super Eagles star among the very good players in Watford's attack
Published: December 10, 2021
Brentford boss Thomas Frank was on media duties on Thursday before his side's Premier League meeting with Watford at the Brentford Community Stadium and one of the topics he spoke about was the offensive players in the Hornets squad.
The Danish football tactician namechecked Emmanuel Dennis as he highlighted the threat posed by Watford's frontline.
This season, Watford have scored three or more goals in matches against decent opposition namely Aston Villa, Everton and Manchester United.
With that in mind, Brentford will be aiming to neutralize Watford's main threats Emmanuel King, Joshua King and João Pedro.
The former Club Brugge star has the second most goal contributions in this season's Premier League, eleven in fourteen games, only bettered by Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
In quotes relayed by the official website of the Bees, Frank stated : "Ranieri is a different coach to Xisco Muñoz, but I think what he has done is make them more offensive.
"They have created quite a few chances and have some very good players going forward in Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis, and Ismaïla Sarr, although he is injured.
"It is the same formation, the 4-3-3, that we faced last time."
In the Premier League standings, four points are between Brentford and Watford heading into Friday night's clash.
