2021 Super Eagles invitee looks likely to leave Tottenham amid links with Mourinho's Roma
Published: December 11, 2021
Goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi, who was a non-playing substitute for the Super Eagles in their international friendly with Mexico in July 2021, is expected to leave his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur as from the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
The former England youth international will enter the final six months of his contract with Tottenham next month and is attracting interest from Jose Mourinho's AS Roma.
Oluwayemi is highly rated by Mourinho who invited him to train with the first team on countless occasions whilst he was in charge of the Lilywhites, and picked him as the 21st player in Premier League matches against Newcastle United and Manchester United at the back end of last season.

Oluwayemi has fallen behind France U19 star Thimothée Lo-Tutala in the pecking order of goalkeepers at Tottenham Hotspur U23s despite going the distance in the first eight games of the season.
Portuguese setup Benfica and Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart are also monitoring the situation of the 20-year-old with a view to a possible swoop.
