Opinion : The perfect club for Chelsea to send Nigeria-eligible attacking midfielder on loan
Published: June 06, 2022The future of football lies in the youngsters but only a very tiny percentage of aspiring youngsters actually make it to the top of the game.
For every Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, and Ronaldinho, there are also the likes of Federico Macheda, Adnan Januzaj, Giovani dos Santos, Fran Merida, Bojan Krkic, Ravel Morrison, Alexandre Pato, Freddy Adu and so on.
Getting to the top is also easier than actually staying there for many years. It is why Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are revered in every nook and cranny where football is present.
This is why it is important for every young professional footballer to make the right decisions concerning their career and this point is just around the corner for Nigeria-eligible attacking midfielder Faustino Anjorin who plays for London giants Chelsea.
Returning from a loan to Huddersfield, Anjorin faces a level of uncertainty at Stamford Bridge.
The new owners of the club have not opened up on which way the recruitment will go. Will it be a project youth? Or will the Abramovich model be continued?
All signs point towards another loan for Anjorin but it must be with a club that can give the Nigerian the best possible conditions to make the step up easier at Chelsea. For this, allnigeriasoccer.com will look at Chelsea's playing blueprint and determine which club mirrors this.
Thomas Tuchel thrived at Chelsea because he was allowed to stamp the authority he needed to succeed on the team.
He wasn't afforded this luxury at PSG which is why things went sour. He implemented and tweaked a 3 centre-back formation which helped with stability and sustaining pressure in the opposition half.
The pressing is also excellent but he always switches between a mid-press and a high-press.
It is recommended that Anjorin is loaned to Wolverhampton Wanderers or Leeds United but the former would be a better fit.
Bruno Lage is a good manager who uses an identical philosophy to Tuchel's. His outstanding man-management will also help to build Anjorin up quickly.
