Super Eagles-eligible midfielder admits he's delighted to be playing for Chelsea

Nigeria-eligible central midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has said that he's delighted to be playing for the club he supported as a kid ahead of Chelsea's Premier League meeting with his former club Aston Villa.
The England U20 international transferred to Chelsea in August for a fee in the region of 20 million pounds after turning down a new deal at Villa Park.
The Blues pulled off a massive transfer coup by signing Chukwuemeka, beating the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan to his services.
The talented teenager made his Chelsea debut last weekend, coming off the bench for the final four minutes of their 3-0 hammering of Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
He was a non-playing substitute on four occasions before he was handed his Chelsea debut by Graham Potter after impressing in a behind closed doors friendly against Brighton and winning the Player of the Tournament while representing the Young Lions at the Costa Càlida Supercup which took place in Spain from 19 to 27 September 2022.
In quotes relayed by Evening Standard, Chukwuemeka said : "It feels amazing. I’ve dreamed of playing for the club I supported growing up, so for it to happen is a dream come true.
"I thank God, all my team-mates, my family and the gaffer for trusting me. The Chelsea fans have been really supporting me since I joined and the reception from them [when I came on against Wolves] gave me a boost.
"Before coming on, he [Potter] told me to express myself, to play how I have been in training and to play with a smile. I think I did that so it was good."
Chhukwuemeka, 18, totaled sixteen appearances in all competitions for Aston Villa before his move to Stamford Bridge.
