England manager in attendance as two ex-Nigeria invitees help Eagles claim a point at Leicester

England manager Gareth Southgate was among the spectators at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Crystal Palace and Leicester City shared the spoils with a goalless draw.

Two former Super Eagles invitees believed to be on the radar of the English Football Association, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise were in action for Crystal Palace, with the former starting and the latter entering the game as a substitute in the 65th minute.

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to replace Harvey Barnes with five minutes left on the clock, and Wilfred Ndidi wasn't available for selection due to a hamstring issue.

In a goalless first half, Barnes had the best chance to give Leicester City the lead but the Palace goalkeeper raced off his line to make a save, while Eze had the best attempt for the Eagles but blazed over the top.

In the second half, Odsonne Edouard nearly put Crystal Palace in front when he picked out the bottom corner but his effort was saved by Ward, while James Maddison tested the goalkeeper twice.

Iheanacho also had a chance to win it before the ninety minutes were up but fired straight at Vicente Guaita from a corner kick.

Leicester City remain bottom in the standings having accrued five points from ten matches while Crystal Palace are thirteenth with ten points from nine games.
