Chelsea loanee Fiabema makes his return from injury after missing four games
Published: October 24, 2022
Chelsea-owned striker Bryan Fiabema made his return from the injury this past weekend as Forest Green Rovers were beaten 1-0 by Portsmouth in a League One match at the New Lawn.
Earlier this month, the Norway youth international had to return to Cobham to receive further treatment after suffering a knee injury in training at Forest Green Rovers.
Fiabema received the medical green light from Chelsea to take part in Forest Green Rovers' latest match against Portsmouth, coming off the bench for the final three minutes as a replacement for Harry Boyes.
The 19-year-old was unavailable for selection for four straight matches, against Bolton Wanderers, Peterborough United and Port Vale in the league, and Exeter City in the Papa Johns Trophy.
He cut short his loan spell at Norwegian giants Rosenborg in August because he wasn't getting enough games and wanted to play regularly.
With his appearance against Portsmouth, Fiabema has now played eight games in total for the Green, logging 444 minutes in all competitions.
Forest Green Rovers are 22nd in the League One table and just two points above bottom team MK Dons.
