Ligue 1 : Lorient's Moffi reaches double figures, late Simon goal salvages point for Nantes
Published: November 13, 2022Super Eagles stars Moses Simon and Terem Moffi were on target for their respective clubs in game week 15 of the French Ligue 1.
Moffi bagged his second consecutive goal in FC Lorient's 1-1 draw with RC Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau.
The 23-year-old scored the important first goal with a right footed shot from close range in the fifth minute.
Moffi is the third player in the French topflight to have scored ten times this season, and only Paris Saint Germain stars Kylian Mbappe (12) and Neymar Jr (11) have more.
In the provisional standings, Lorient are in fourth place with 28 points from 15 games.
At the Beaujoire Stadium, Simon Moses ended his five-game goal drought after scoring a crucial equalizer for FC Nantes in their 2-2 draw with AC Ajaccio.
FC Nantes were trailing 2-1 after 88 minutes of action but a strike from Simon a minute to the end of the game was able to earn a point for the Canaries.
Simon has registered five goals and two assists in 13 league games this season, with his team sitting in 15th place .
