Published: January 17, 2023
With a statement on their official website, Watford have announced that exciting left-footed London-born Nigerian winger Joseph Hungbo has been loaned out to Championship rivals Huddersfield Town.
The Crystal Palace academy product will spend the remainder of the 2022-2023 campaign at the Terriers.
Hungbo switched to the Hornets in the summer of 2019 following a successful trial after he was released by Crystal Palace, where he spent about a decade.
Since his arrival at Vicarage Road, he has made seventeen first team appearances in all competitions, of which five were starts, and was in action for 487 minutes.
This is the third time Hungbo has been loaned out by the Hornets after previous spells at National League club Aldershot Town and Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County, where he was named Young Player of the Year, Players’ Young Player of the Year and awarded both the club and league Goal of the Season last year.
The 23-year-old has been assigned the number 16 jersey at Huddersfield Town and should be eligible for their next competitive game against Blackpool in the Championship on Saturday, January 21.
