Official : KV Oostende loan in Nigerian-born former Austria U21 winger
Published: January 20, 2023
Karlsruher SC's Nigerian-born winger Kelvin Arase has completed his move to KV Oostende, the Belgian Pro League side confirmed on Thursday evening.
The former Austria U21 international has been loaned in by KV Oostende for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season with an option to buy included in the agreement between the German and Belgian team.
Arase joined Karlsruher SC on a free transfer last summer but things have not really worked out for him there
The 24-year-old has made only three starts from a possible nineteen in all competitions and provided three assists in 364 minutes of action.
He will be hoping for more game time at KV Oostende under their Austrian manager Dominik Thalhammer.
Oliver Kreuzer, sporting director of KSC told the club's official webpage: “Kelvin wanted to gain match practice and therefore approached us with the request for a loan.
"We hope that the loan deal to Belgium will give him a lot of minutes and come back with renewed confidence in the summer."
KV Oostende are seventeenth in the Belgian Pro League standings with seventeen points from twenty one matches.
