Published: March 08, 2023
With a statement on their official website, reigning Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge have announced that Fulham legend Scott Parker is no longer head coach of the Blue-Black.
Club Brugge have fired Parker less than twenty four hours after a humiliating 5-1 loss to Benfica in a Champions League round of 16 second leg clash.
Appointed as Club Brugge coach on December 31, Parker managed only two wins in twelve competitive games.
The former England international picked up the two wins in the Pro League, with six draws and four defeats.
Club Brugge currently sit fourth in the Pro League standings with 46 points from 28 matches played.
The three Nigeria-eligible players at Club Brugge in the shape of Raphael Onyedika, Owen Otasowie and Antonio Nusa will be coached by Rik De Mil on an interim basis until a successor to Parker is found, according to HLN.
Onyedika appeared in ten games with Parker in the Club Brugge dugout, Nusa was involved in eight matches, while former Wolverhampton Wanderers defensive midfielder Otasowie was not utilized.
Parker, 42, previously coached Fulham and Bournemouth before replacing Carl Hoefkens at Club Brugge sixty seven days ago.
