Lionel Messi's replacement: Paris Saint-Germain preparing bid for 2021 Super Eagles invitee
Published: May 09, 2023French Ligue 1 moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are ready to firm up their interest in 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims that the 10-time French champions are preparing a shock bid for the Crystal Palace winger.
Signing a winger is a priority for the Parisians in the summer as Argentina legend Lionel Messi is on his way out of the club, while they are keen to get Neymar off the wage bill to appease the supporters.
The Eagles losing Olise would be a big blow to the incoming manager with the future of Ivory Coast star Wilfried Zaha up in the air.
Academy product Zaha has less than two months left on his Palace contract and has been linked with possible moves to Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer.
France U21 international Olise won't have problems adapting to life in France as he speaks French thanks to his Franco-Algerian mother, and he is also teammates with several Ligue 1 players at international level.
Since landing at Crystal Palace from Reading in the summer of 2021,Olise has directly participated in 23 goals in 68 all-competition appearances.
The 21-year-old has a contract with the Selhurst Park outfit until June 30, 2026.
