2023 Flying Eagles invitee mulling over interest from Burnley ahead of Arsenal departure
Published: June 26, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that Burnley are interested in signing 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Joel Ideho in the summer transfer window.
The exciting winger has just four days left on his contract with Arsenal and is set to embark on a new chapter in his career as he has not been offered a new deal by the north London club.
It has been reported that the Clarets are planning to integrate Ideho into their U21 side and are hoping to have him join the club in time for pre-season training.
This website can report with certainty that the Dutch-born Nigerian youngster will not be joining Burnley soon as he is weighing up whether to accept the proposal from the English Premier League newcomers.
Ideho missed the back end of the 2022-2023 Premier League 2 season due to an ankle injury he suffered in training few days after the London derby against Crystal Palace's development squad in March.
The injury prevented him from being named in Nigeria's final squad to the 2023 Fifa U20 World Cup, although he attended the training camp in Abuja.
Nigeria U20 manager Ladan Bosso also considered naming Ideho in the squad list for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations but dropped the plan when he realized that the winger's Nigerian passport expired in 2018.
Ideho departs Arsenal without making his professional debut though he trained several times with the first team.
