Boavista's Nigeria defenders Chidozie Awaziem and Bruno Onyemaechi came through the last international break of the season unscathed, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The two Super Eagles players are at the disposal of manager Petit for the upcoming Taça de Portugal clash against Arouca as they were involved in full training on Thursday - their first workout with Boavista after returning from Super Eagles duty.
Onyemaechi reported for Super Eagles duty last week with a minor injury but was able to shake off the injury in time to play in the back-to-back 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Awaziem was among the five invitees that was not used by Jose Peseiro, the others being Olorunleke Ojo, Amas Obasogie, Kenneth Omeruo and Raphael Onyedika.
Onyemaechi and Awaziem returned to Portugal on Wednesday after the long trip from Nigeria..
Boavista are preparing for the fourth round of the Taça de Portugal which will be held at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca (Arouca), with kickoff scheduled for 2100 hours Nigerian time on Sunday.
After the Cup clash against Arouca, the Panthers return to league action against the same opponents on December 3.
