'Disappearing, going to a resort' – Transfer guru accuses Lookman's entourage of misguided advice

Transfer market expert Alfredo Pedullà has launched a scathing assessment of Ademola Lookman’s recent conduct, accusing the Nigerian forward’s entourage of steering him down the wrong path during a turbulent summer at Atalanta.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Pedullà contrasted Lookman’s actions with the calm professionalism of former Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, who he said embodies the composure expected at the highest level.
"De Bruyne taught many a lesson: normality, a normal reaction to being substituted, almost becomes abnormal when compared to the behavior of others like Lookman,” Pedullà said, as quoted by Inter News24.
Lookman, 27, was at the center of a tense standoff with Atalanta after his proposed transfer to Inter Milan fell through.
The reigning African Footballer of the year missed training sessions and was later seen at a resort, decisions that led to disciplinary measures from the club and raised questions about his attitude.
"He’s back with the team, perhaps he’ll be called up for the next match, but when asked specifically, ‘Who lost out?’ I’d say everyone, without a doubt, but some more so.
"Especially those who advised Lookman, the ones who dictated this way of interpreting things—leaving, disappearing, going to a resort. Clearly, they’re the wrong advisers,” Pedullà added.
The journalist insisted that Lookman's return to training in September should not be interpreted as a positive reset but as a setback that highlighted poor decision-making on all sides.
"Lookman can make whatever choices he wants, but returning to the team in September after a series of ‘revolutionaries’ and displaying unconscionable behavior is a resounding defeat, " Pedullà concluded.
Having rejoined first-team activities under Ivan Juric, Lookman is now available for Atalanta’s Serie A clash against Torino on Sunday.
