Confirmed: Super Eagles winger Moses Simon signs new contract with Nantes
Published: December 22, 2023Through a statement on their official website, Nantes have announced that they have agreed on a deal with Moses Simon to extend his stay at the club.
The Super Eagles winger has agreed to prolong his stay with the Canaries from 2024 till the summer of 2026 which will be the seventh anniversary of his arrival at Stade de la Beaujoire.
This development puts an end to reports linking him away from the 8-time French champions with Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Saudi Arabia being said to be interested in his services.
Simon joined the Canaries in 2019, the 28-year-old has been one of their best players up until last season when he struggled to hit his previous heights from past campaigns and was linked with an exit from the club.
However, the Nigeria international is showing his value once again and has registered 8 goal involvements (3 goals, five assists) in the Ligue 1 this season.
With his upturn in form, it comes as no surprise that Nantes have decided to reward him with a new deal.
Since making his debut, he has made 163 appearances across all competitions and has 29 goals and 31 assists to his credit.
