Reliable transfer reporter insist Osimhen is Chelsea's priority target amid links to Brighton striker

Reliable transfer reporter Dean Jones has maintained that Victor Osimhen remains Chelsea's priority target amid a recent report linking them to Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
According to Evening Standard, the Blues are reportedly considering a move for Ferguson as he fits their transfer approach of signing highly-rated youngsters.
The two-time European champions have signed some of the most talented players in Europe since the Blueco consortium took over the club and it is no surprise that they are being linked with the Republic of Ireland international.
He has scored six goals in 11 starts in the Premier League this season and is one of the brightest prospects in the English top flight.
Despite the report linking Mauricio Pochettino's side to the Brighton striker, Jones has maintained that Osimhen remains the Blues' priority target for the central forward position.
"Personally if you're going to spend that sort of money I'd still go for Victor Osimhen and all of the indications I have at the moment are that Osimhen is the prime target for Chelsea if they are to sign an elite nine, that seems to be something they are looking to at the moment," Jones told Ranks FC Podcast via Tbrfootball.
Ferguson's contract with Brighton ends in 2029 and just like his Napoli counterpart, it is going to take a huge sum of money to grab his signature.
With Chelsea's long-term interest in Osimhen, it will be surprising if they abandon their pursuit of the Nigeria international who is also more experienced and proven than the Brighton youngster.
