Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United? Super Eagles striker Osimhen chooses his next club
Published: January 27, 2024
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly chosen to join Chelsea ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United.
According to TEAMtalk citing Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Nigeria international has elected to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Chelsea have always had the 25-year-old as their top choice priority in their search for a proven striker and must now be ready to pay his release clause.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also been said to be in the running for the Napoli star and it remains to be seen how this latest report will impact their pursuit of the lanky central forward.
Osimhen in the past week has hinted that he will leave Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the summer and that might also have been confirmed by the recent utterances of Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The Italian club executive while speaking in a recent interview said that they have always known that the Super Eagles forward will leave the club and expect him to move to Real Madrid, PSG, or one of the Premier League heavyweights.
De Laurentiis will now be hoping that Osimhen can give the Serie A defending champions his best whenever he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations.
