Tottenham Hotspur considering late swoop for Bournemouth's Nigeria-eligible attacker
Published: January 31, 2024
According to The Sun UK, Tottenham are preparing to submit a last-minute bid for Super Eagles-eligible striker Dominic Solanke.
While Bournemouth have insisted that the in forward is not for sale at the moment, Tottenham are willing to test their resolve before the closure of the current transfer window.
The north London side are yet replace to Harry Kane who left the club last summer and Solanke might be the ideal replacement for the England international.
The former Chelsea and Liverpool prospect has been one of the revelations of the current Premier League campaign, sitting joint third on the top scorers' chart with 12 goals.
His form is beginning to generate a lot of interest within the English top flight with both Arsenal and Chelsea also credited with a move for him.
Newcastle have also shown interest in his services as it has been claimed that Eddie Howe wants to reunite with the former England youth international whom he worked with while he was Bournemouth manager.
The Cherries are under no pressure to sell their in-form central forward this month whose contract with the club doesn't end anytime soon but could be swayed if an irresistible bid is submitted for his signature.
