Man Utd ready to challenge Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG for Super Eagles striker
Published: March 04, 2024
Manchester United are back in the running for the signature of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen who is set to become a subject of transfer saga in the coming transfer window.
According to Independent UK, the Red Devils are ready to rival fellow Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea as well as French giants PSG for the signing of the star striker.
As mentioned in the report, the 25-year-old fits the profile that the new minority shareholders at Old Trafford, headed by Jim Ratcliffe, are looking for as they seek to overhaul the present squad.
The 20-time English champions were also one of the clubs linked with the Nigeria international last summer but they were financially constrained to sign him and eventually settled for Rasmus Højlund.
While the Danish forward seems to have finally found his feet, it appears that Ratcliffe isn't satisfied and wants to sign a proven striker to complement the former Atalanta striker.
Despite starting the season slowly, Osimhen is beginning to rediscover his goalscoring form from last season, scoring in three of his last four games for Napoli.
As it stands, the reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year looks set to leave the Parthenopeans at the end of the season, ending his four-year stay at the club.
