French Ligue 1 club Marseille priced out of a move for Leicester City midfielder Ndidi

According to La Provence via Le10Sport, Olympique de Marseille have reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi due to financial constraints.
The report revealed that the French giants have spoken to the Leicester City midfielder on the possibility of joining the club but have now withdrawn their interest due to his high wage demands.
Marseille have to bolster their midfield due to the possibility of some players leaving the club this summer and was hoping that the Nigeria international would be one of the players to help them plug the holes in the department.
They are planning to reduce their wage bill and have no financial wherewithal to afford Ndidi's demand and will now have to shift their focus to other targets.
The 27-year-old still has a host of suitors wanting to secure his services upon the expiration of his contract with Leicester City at the end of this month.
Premier League outfit Everton are one of the contenders for his signature while Lyon, Monaco, Jose Mourinho-led Fenerbahçe, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor have all been linked with him.
Leicester City are still hoping to keep the midfielder who has 273 appearances across all competitions for them but are running out of time to do so.
