After training on Saturday morning, PAOK's Romanian football tactician Razvan Lucescu announced his squad list for the pre-season training camp which will hold in the Netherlands.
Super Eagles central defender William Troost-Ekong has been included in the traveling squad, suggesting that he has no fitness issues after his omission from the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin.
Troost-Ekong's most recent competitive appearance for both club and country dates back to February 11, 2024, in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final against Ivory Coast.
He played through the pain barrier during the tournament in Ivory Coast and required surgery after returning to Europe following the Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named as Player of the Tournament.
While on Dutch soil, PAOK will face Cypriot team AEK Larnaca (July 3) and Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian (July 6), before meetings with Belgian opponents Racing Genk (July 10) and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise (July 13).
In his first season at PAOK, Troost-Ekong appeared in twenty-two matches across all competitions, including twenty-one as a starter.
The Tottenham Hotspur academy product has been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window but nothing has materialized as of now.
PAOK's first competitive game of the new season is against either Borac Banja Luka or Egnatia Rrogozhinë in the Champions League qualifiers on July 27.
