Published: July 02, 2024
Through their official website, Austrian Bundesliga club Wattener Sportgemeinschaft Tirol have announced the signing of Bayern Munich's Germany youth international of Nigerian descent Jamie Lawarence on a permanent deal.
As per club policy, WSG Tirol have kept the length and financial details of the central defender's contract confidential.
Lawrence has ended his seven-year association with Bayern Munich with his transfer to WSG Tirol.
The 21-year-old has departed Bayern Munich without making his senior debut for the Bavarians but was a key player for the reserve team, for whom he made 60 appearances, scoring five goals while producing four assists.
During the 2022-2023 season, the 201-centimetre-tall centre-back was loaned to 1. FC Magdeburg, a 2. Bundesliga club, for two years.
He played in 38 games for the winners of the 1974 European Cup Winners' Cup, recording one assist.
Lawrence is credited with 28 appearances in the 3. Liga, netting one goal and registering an assist in 2,231 minutes of action for Bayern Munich II.
The Munich native has sixteen caps for Germany youth teams including thirteen matches in the U20 Elite League.
Lawrence sported the number 5 on the back of his jersey during his unveiling ceremony on Tuesday, July 2.
WSG finished 11th in the Austrian Bundesliga last season and their first competitive game of 2024-2025 is against SC Imst in the Cup on July 28.
