After signing new deal, West Ham loan out history-making Super Falcons-eligible forward to Charlton
Published: July 21, 2024Less than a week after West Ham United announced that Princess Ademiluyi has signed her first professional contract, the Hammers confirmed on Saturday that the Super Falcons-eligible forward has joined Charlton Athletic for the 2024-2025 season.
Princess Ademiluyi has joined The Addicks on a season-long loan in search of first team opportunities.
The 18-year-old has yet to make her full debut in the Women's Super League, with her thirteen appearances coming off the bench - two in 2022-2023 and eleven last term.
She is now seeking to gain valuable first team experience in the Women's Championship - the second tier of women's football in England.
Ademiluyi is the first player from West Ham United Foundation's Player Pathway to play for the women’s team at senior level and sign a professional contract, making history in the process.
Ademiluyi joined West Ham at the age of twelve and she's credited with seventeen appearances for the first team since making her senior debut off the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2023.
The Anglo-Nigerian was promoted to the U21 squad late 2022 and had her first full season with the senior team in 2023-2024.
She has started training with her new teammates at the Addicks ahead of the upcoming season.
