With a statement on their official website, La Liga club Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Manchester City academy product has signed a two-year contract with the Andalusian club with a club option for the 2026-2027 season.
Iheanacho becomes the second Super Eagles forward acquired by Sevilla on a free transfer in the ongoing transfer window, after former CSKA Moscow and Antwerp star Chidera Ejuke.
He has joined a club with a rich European history, with Sevilla winning the Europa League in its various guises seven times.
Iheanacho has played in twenty-seven matches in European competition, comprising 11 in the Europa League, 8 in the Conference League, 7 in the Champions League and one in the Champions League qualifiers.
The 27-year-old has scored in every European competition including three goals in the Europe League.
He is the fifth player signed by Sevilla in the summer transfer window, after Saúl Niguez , Albert Sambi Lokonga, Chidera Ejuke and Peque Fernández.
Iheanacho has ended his ten-year stint with English clubs after completing his transfer to the Rojiblancos.
He could make his competitive debut for Sevilla on August 16 when they face Las Palmas on the opening day of the season.
