Lookman battles Thuram, Moise Kean, 3 others for Serie A Player of the Month for November
Published: November 28, 2024
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been shortlisted for the Serie A Player of the Month award for November following his outstanding performances for Atalanta.
The Nigerian star has been in exceptional form, netting three goals combined against Napoli and Parma, and also helped Atalanta register a 2-1 win against Maduka Okoye's Udinese.
Notably, Lookman shone in Atalanta's emphatic 3-0 victory over Napoli at the Diego Maradona Stadium, where he scored a brilliant brace.
He continued his goal-scoring spree with a crucial strike in a 3-0 win over Parma, a game where two of his goals were initially disallowed.
Lookman's consistent displays have propelled Atalanta to a perfect record in November, winning all their league games.
His efforts have earned him a spot on the shortlist for the monthly award, where he faces competition from Federico Dimarco (Inter Milan), Khéphren Thuram (Juventus), Alessandro Buongiorno (Napoli), Moise Kean (Fiorentina), and Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio).
Fans can cast their votes on Easports, with Lookman emerging as one of the favorites due to his decisive contributions throughout the month.
This nomination is yet another highlight in Lookman's stellar career at Atalanta.
Last season, he was instrumental in the club's historic UEFA Europa League triumph, scoring a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.
So far this campaign, Lookman has tallied nine goals and five assists in 15 matches across all competitions, cementing his reputation as one of Serie A's standout performers.
