According to Marca, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the best African player, with the Egyptian international finishing 31st in the overall ranking with 1,211 points.
The second highest ranked African player is Bayer Leverkusen's Nigeria international Victor Boniface, who registered 21 goals and 10 assists in 34 games last season.
Boniface won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and featured in the Europa League showpiece in his first season at Bayer Leverkusen.
