Ex-Turkey star warns Fenerbahce: Obsession with Galatasaray could boost Osimhen's motivation

Akın suggested that the Nigerian striker thrives under pressure and criticism, and Fenerbahçe’s obsession with Galatasaray could backfire by pushing Osimhen to elevate his game even further.
He noted that Fenerbahçe fans and the club’s community have been consistently making comparisons with Galatasaray and Osimhen, arguing that such actions only serve to awaken the striker’s competitive spirit.
Osimhen has already proven to be a decisive player for Galatasaray, delivering key performances throughout the season.
His ability to rise to the occasion could be crucial in the title race, particularly with Fenerbahçe struggling to maintain consistency.
Akın further pointed out that Fenerbahçe’s failure to capitalize on Galatasaray’s rough patch could ultimately cost them the championship.
He referenced their inability to beat an out-of-form Galatasaray at Rams Park and their loss of two points at home against Samsunspor as signs that winning the title might be beyond them.
With the season reaching its decisive phase, Osimhen’s presence has been a game-changer for Galatasaray.
