Fulham's Iwobi, Nottingham Forest's Aina nominated for EA SPORTS FC's PL Team of the Season

Nigeria internationals Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina are among the nominees for EA SPORTS FC's Premier League Team of the Season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
As the 2024-2025 season draws to a close, EA SPORTS FC has revealed 40 players shortlisted for its Premier League Team of the Season, with the Fulham midfielder and Nottingham Forest fullback making the cut.
Ola Aina has been a key player for this season's surprise package, Nottingham Forest, starting thirty consecutive matches in the top-flight, before suffering a calf injury during the 1-0 win over Manchester United on April 1.
The Chelsea academy graduate has two goals and one assist to his name, logging 2,574 minutes.
Iwobi has been outstanding for the Cottagers, with his eight goals and five assists a career high for the Super Eagles playmaker.
Ola Aina features among the defensive nominees, which include Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konaté from Liverpool; Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba; Fulham’s Antonee Robinson; Nottingham Forest duo Nikola Milenković and Murillo; and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.
In the midfield category, Iwobi has been shortlisted alongside Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool), Matheus Santos Carneiro Da Cunha (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Mikkel Damsgaard (Brentford), Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Youri Tielemans (Aston Villa), Justin Kluivert (Bournemouth), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Bruno Guimarães Moura (Newcastle United), Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) and Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest).
The voting window for EA SPORTS FC’s Premier League Team of the Season will close on Sunday, April 20.
