Confirmed: Alanyaspor snap up Uchenna Ogundu on three-year deal
Published: July 02, 2025
Turkish Super Lig side Corendon Alanyaspor have confirmed the capture of young Nigerian attacker Uchenna Ogundu through a statement on the club's official website.
Alanyaspor have signed the Nigerian talent on a three-year deal from second tier club Şanlıurfaspor, less than a year after his move to Turkiye from Diamond Academy in August 2024.
He quickly established himself as a force, netting 10 goals in 8 matches for the Sanliufaspor U19 team, which earned him a place in the first team.
His talent comes as no surprise after links to Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian and also Fenerbahce.
Ogundu is a versatile forward who can function as a centre forward and also as a right winger.
In his debut season for Sanliufaspor, he had a hand in eight of his club's 45 goals, assisting two and scoring six himself in 19 appearances.
He is the first Nigerian to make the switch to Alanyaspor since Chidozie Awaziem's loan deal in the 2021-22 season.
Ogundu stands at 6 ft 1 with a huge frame which houses his strength.
The 19-year-old gem also possesses a strong shooting power with a quick burst of acceleration to get away from opponents.
