Ivorian-Nigerian-Swedish forward Omorowa agrees deal with Super Lig club Samsunspor
Published: July 22, 2025
Turkish Super Lig club Samsunspor are reportedly on the verge of confirming the signing of tri-national forward Richie Omorowa.
Born in Akalla, the Sweden youth international also qualifies to represent the national teams of Nigeria and Ivory Coast through his father and mother respectively.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Omorowa is set to leave Dutch club Excelsior to join Samsunspor.
The Italian transfer expert reported on Tuesday that all parties have reached an agreement in principle for Richie Omorowa to join Turkish side Samsunspor.
The club, who secured a third-place finish in the Turkish Super Lig last season, will feature in the Uefa Europa League qualifiers in the new season.
Omorowa put himself in the shop window after a standout 2024–2025 campaign, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.
The attacker had spells with Akropolis, AIK and Brommapojkarna before making a move to Dutch side Excelsior in the summer of 2023, after helping Brommapojkarna’s win the Superettan the previous year.
He has represented his country of birth Sweden at U15, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 level.
