Official: 2023 Flying Eagles invitee departs Crystal Palace after 13 years of service, joins WSG Tirol
Published: July 24, 2025
With a statement on the official website, Austrian Bundesliga club WSG Tirol have announced the signing of 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ademola Ola-Adebomi.
By signing a long term contract with WSG Tirol, the tall centre forward ended his 13-year association with Premier League club Crystal Palace.
Although Ola-Adebomi has left Crystal Palace without making his senior debut for the Eagles, he was named in four matchday squads for first team games, including three in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old joined Crystal Palace at the age of eight and rose through the ranks to sign his first professional contract in 2022.
In search of first team opportunities, he had loan spells at Burton Albion in League One and SK Beveren in Belgium's Challenger Pro League.
He was part of the Crystal Palace U15 squad that made history in 2018 by defeating Wigan Athletic to win the Super Floodlit Cup National Final.
Ola-Adebomi has also showcased his prowess in front of goal in Premier League 2, netting 24 times and registering two assists in 38 appearances for Crystal Palace's U21 side.
At U18 level, he scored 16 goals in 31 U18 Premier League appearances, and added 2 goals in two FA Youth Cup matches.
In the 2022-2023 season, Ola-Adebomi made headlines by scoring the winner against Hertha Berlin in Crystal Palace U21s debut outing in the Premier League International Cup.
His standout performances continued into the following campaign, earning him the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November 2023.
Ola-Adebomi trained with the Flying Eagles before the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations but missed out on the final squad for the tournament in Egypt.
