Celtic striker Kelechi Iheanacho reacts to downgrade in EA Sports FC 26 ratings
Published: September 23, 2025
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has voiced his disappointment after being handed a 72 overall rating in the newly released EA Sports FC 26.
Iheanacho, who signed for the Scottish champions as a free agent, has had an excellent start to the campaign in Scotland.
Iheanacho, who joined Scottish champions Celtic on a free transfer this summer, has made an impressive start to life in Scotland, scoring once and assisting once in just two appearances across league and cup competitions.
Despite his strong early form, the forward's rating dropped from last year's edition, reflecting his struggles during stints at Sevilla and Middlesbrough last campaign.
In a video shared on Celtic's official YouTube channel, the former Leicester City striker admitted he expected a higher rating.
He appeared stunned when presented with his card, responding hesitantly: "I, I, yeah, fair enough, I'll take that."
The new rating represents a decline from his EA Sports FC 25 score, where he was rated 74.
The 28-year-old will be hoping his strong start at Celtic continues, giving him a chance to earn an improved rating in the next edition of the popular football video game.
