Announcement imminent: Okoh signs new two-year deal with Greek Super League club
Published: September 25, 2025
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Greek Super League side Asteras Tripolis are on the brink of announcing that Nigerian striker Chidera Okoh has signed a new contract with the club.
All formalities have been completed, with only the official confirmation pending.
The deal will see the 22-year-old remain with the Yellow-Blues until June 30, 2027.
Okoh earned a new deal after a string of standout displays for the club’s youth side, where his energy, versatility in front of goal, and aerial prowess quickly caught the eye of the coaching staff.
Despite attracting strong interest during the summer transfer window, including a concrete bid from Polish outfit Pogoń Szczecin, Asteras Tripolis stood firm, refusing to sanction his departure.
A product of Divine Praise academy, Okoh previously had spells with Maltese side Mosta and Czech outfit Slovan Liberec before securing a move to Greece in the summer of 2024.
He impressed immediately in the club’s B team, registering 15 goals and two assists in 25 league outings in Super League 2, while also netting twice in four first team appearances.
Following the extension, Okoh has been promoted to the Asteras Tripolis first-team squad on a permanent basis, marking the next stage of his professional development.
Okoh is looked after by Chinedu Obi and Rhema Obed of Grace & Grit Sports Limited.
