'Really dangerous' - Iraola admits Fulham duo Iwobi, Sessegnon can cause Bournemouth problems
Published: October 02, 2025
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has admitted his side must be on high alert against the attacking threat posed by Fulham's Alex Iwobi and Ryan Sessegnon ahead of their Premier League clash on Friday at the Vitality Stadium.
The Spanish coach, speaking during his pre-match press conference, singled out Fulham's left flank as a potential danger zone, praising the fluid partnership between the Nigerian international and the England fullback.
"On the ball. They value possession. Technically, they have good combinations," Iraola was quoted as saying by The BBC.
"This combination with Iwobi and [Ryan] Sessegnon on the left side is really dangerous. I hope we can limit those things."
The 43-year-old also highlighted the impressive form of the Nigerian International and youngster Josh King, who has emerged as a surprise package for Fulham this season.
"Now [Alex] Iwobi and Josh King. King has been a big surprise - I didn't know about him at the beginning of the season and he has been playing really, really well."
Since joining Fulham, Iwobi has established himself as a key figure under Marco Silva, contributing 16 goals and 10 assists in 84 appearances across all competitions.
His creativity and positional play have made him a constant menace for other Premier League teams.
Fulham will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Aston Villa, and Silva will be hoping Iwobi continues his fine form to inspire a strong response.
Meanwhile, Iraola and Bournemouth will be aiming to contain Fulham's left-wing threat to secure a positive result in front of their fans.
