Exclusive:Coach John Obuh Names Injured Players In Provisional Squad
Published: May 19, 2013
Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh has taken a big gamble by including injured players in his provisional 30 - man squad that will represent Nigeria at the Fifa Under 20 World Cup to be staged in Turkey later this summer.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that striker Olanrewaju Kayode is carrying a knee injury while Dolphins highly rated midfielder Chidi Osuchukwu has a hamstring complaint.
From all indications, Kayode and Osuchuwku arrived the Elfershausen camp of the Under 20 Team with the injuries.
And it should not come as a surprise that both players did not last the entire duration in Wednesday's exhibition match with the Nürnberg Under 23's.
Since Thursday, the two offensive - minded players have been unable to participate in full training especially in rigorous sessions.
Meanwhile, the players that failed to make the preliminary squad will leave camp tomorrow, Monday, May 20.
Adidas kits have been distributed to the players that made the squad.
