Azubuike Egwuekwe Negotiating With Red Star Belgrade

Representatives of Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe are in advanced negotiations with Serbia vice - champions Red Star Belgrade.
This summer, the 1991 European champions want to strengthen their team with a capable defender and the number one choice is the Super Eagles defender, who represented Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations and the Fifa Confederations Cup.
Vice president of Red Star Belgrade, Ivica Tonchev has confirmed that the club is interested in the acquisition of the center-back.
He told mozzartsport.com : ''It's true that I'm working on it, we want to bring the center back from Africa.''
Red Star Belgrade are prepared to pay a transfer fee of 200,000 euros to domestic club Warri Wolves for the signature of the 24 - year - old.
Azubuike Egwuekwe has played 13 international matches for the Super Eagles.
He will join Swedish - Nigerian striker Abiola Dauda at Red Star if the transfer materializes.
