Published: September 06, 2013
Elderson Echiejile has denied he is set to join Istanbul club Besiktas before the close of the summer window.
Recall that there had been reports that the 25 - year - old had agreed to join the Black Eagles on a two - year contract, but it now looks like those stories were far from reality.
'' It’s not true that I have signed for Besiktas. There was no agreement between Braga and Besiktas. I am still a player of Braga,'' Elderson said on his official website elderson3.com.
There had been a lot of speculation linking Echiejile with a move from Sporting Braga, with teams in Germany, England and Turkey said to be monitoring his situation.
His contract with the Archbishops expires in June 2014.
