Investigation: SuperSport Blogger Andrew Randa Involved In Transfer Of John Ogu
Published: October 29, 2013
Supersport blogger Andrew Randa, who is also a lecturer at Federal College of Technology, Kontagora, is involved in the sale of Nigeria internationals and manages for a fee the publicity accounts of most of the footballers based in the Middle Belt.
It is for that reason the blogger is ready to fight his colleagues if they publish unfavorable reports about any of the clients he represents.
Andrew Randa did not just stumble into sports. He failed to make the grade as a footballer, having failed trials with clubs mostly in Asia and the local scene.
The blogger proposed Nigeria international John Ogu to Portuguese club Academica through retired Super Eagles striker Richard Owubokiri and smiled to the bank with a hefty sum when the transfer materialized.
He was also involved in the failed trials of Sibi Gwar at Bnei Yehuda and unethically claimed the striker was worth 100,000 dollars in market value to deceive the Israeli club to part with a transfer fee despite the player having less than a month before the expiration of his Niger Tornadoes contract.
The outcome of a sting operation conducted by allnigeriasoccer.com revealed that Andrew Randa agreed to pocket the sum of 15,000 euros as commission for convincing Sibi Gwar to undergo trials with Sanliurfaspor.
