Elderson Echiejile Will Not Renew Sporting Braga Contract
Published: October 30, 2013
According to the electronic edition of A Bola, Elderson Echiejile has decided not to extend his contract with Sporting Braga, with only eight months left before the expiration of his current deal.
And that means the Nigeria international is likely to depart the AXA Stadium in January 2014 as Braga would love to recoup some of their previous investment on the player.
He arrived Sporting Braga in the summer of 2010 after representing Nigeria at the Fifa World Cup where he put himself in the shop window.
It should be noted that fifty percent of Echiejile’s economic rights belongs to an investment company, which is legal in Portugal.
Amongst others, the ex Rennes man had attracted interest from Besiktas(Turkey), Norwich (England) and Stuttgart (Germany) over the summer.
