Mexico Not Scared of Nigeria - Manager Raul Gutierrez
Published: November 07, 2013
Manager of the Mexico Under 17 National team, Raul Gutierrez has predicted a difficult match on Friday when his charges trade tackles in the final of the World Cup for players below the age of 17.
He said the 6 - 1 loss to the Golden Eaglets in their first game of the tourney should not be used as yardstick to judge the outcome of tomorrow’s encounter.
“Tomorrow’s game will be very difficult but it’s a completely different game to the game we play. They are two different games, the scenario is different and you have to play different,”says Raul Gutierrez.
Since losing to Nigeria , the young Mexicans have won four games against Iraq, Sweden, Japan, Brazil and Argentina.
The CONCACAF representatives are not scared of the attacking potential of Nigeria, who reached the final scoring 23 goals.
“No doubt that Nigeria has shown potential as a team, but I believe that Mexico has shown good things and go on to attach much to those great things that Mexico has shown to solve the problem of Nigeria,” he said.
