Heerenveen Attacker Uche Nwofor Tips Eagles To Qualify From Group F
Published: December 10, 2013
SC Heerenveen attacker Uche Nwofor is optimistic that Nigeria can qualify from her World Cup group which also contains Argentina, Bosnia and Iran.
“The magic and winning spirit of AFCON is still there and I also still believe in the team because the understanding is still very much alive for us to go far in the world cup, ” says Uche Nwofor to Brila FM.
Nwofor, 22, hog the headlines following his pair of goals in an exhibition game with South Africa back in August, but failed to find the back of the net in subsequent appearances against Malawi and Burkina Faso.
On loan from Venlo until the end of this season, Nwofor has made 3 appearances for Heerenveen in the Eredivisie but is still searching for his first goal.
