Former Nembe City Forward Arinze Happy With El Kanemi Move
Published: January 06, 2014
Elkanemi Warriors striker Obioma Arinze feels his decision to join the club will be vindicated by his consistent form this season.
The 2012/2013 Globacom Nigeria Premier League 5-goal hero has signed a deal with the Maiduguri boys.
Arinze, hopes to be a first team regular in the colours of the Northern side and feels his choice to turn down the advances of Enugu Rangers and Lobi Stars was the correct one.
“I rejected moves by Rangers and Lobi, I just felt that this was a great chance really to develop my career and play good football and at Elkanemi that would be realised,” Arinze said.
He added: “Nembe was basically a good place for my development, but I had to take a decision.
“It was tough but I’ve matured now and I had to look at the football and not just where my friends are and everything because at the end of the day you can make friends anywhere.”
