Published: January 20, 2014
Italy’s number one sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier reported that Lazio had rejected an undisclosed bid from Everton for the signature of Nigeria international Eddy Onazi.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been doing some digging and can now reveal the offer that was turned down by the leadership of the Biancocelesti.
Everton had tabled an offer worth around € 8 million but Lazio blocked the bid from the English Premier League club as it failed to meet the valuation of Eddy Onazi which has been pegged at €10 million.
Lazio have stubbornly refused to shift ground on the asking price of the central midfielder .
And from all indications, the Nigerian will remain in Rome until at least this summer.
Eddy Onazi still has a contract with Lazio until June 30, 2016.
