Sarpsborg Sporting Director, Berntsen Confirms Aaron Samuel WILL Test With Monaco
Published: January 21, 2014
Norwegian Premier League outfit Sarpsborg 08 have confirmed that one of their standout players Aaron Samuel will begin training with Monaco this week.
Sporting director of Sarpsborg , Thomas Berntsen says the club will not attempt to scupper the move if the Nigerian is successful at the end of training.
“I can confirm that Samuel should be on trial in Monaco. He travels today (Monday) and will be there until Sunday.
“It’s always a judgment call to let our players go on trial. Samuel is one of our best, and basically we will not let our best fly around on trial.
“Yet we do not believe that such a trial will destroy anything either Samuel or us, ” Thomas Berntsen said to sa.no.
In case you were not aware, Aaron Samuel , 19 , was one of the foreign based professionals put on the standby list by National Team boss, Stephen Keshi for the Nelson Mandela Challenge last August.
