Abdul Ajagun Feeling Confident Ahead Of Cup Final
Published: April 25, 2014
Ahead of Panathinaikos showdown with PAOK in the final of the Greece Super Cup on Saturday, ex Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Ajagun has his eyes set on winning the trophy with his team.
To advance to the last game in the competition, the Greens saw off Ergotelis, Iraklis Psachna, Olympiakos Volos and OFI in that order, with the former Dolphins midfielder registering his name on the score-sheet two times.
“It feels good as we get closer to the final. It is a very important game, it is a title. We will give everything to win the trophy. We worked a lot throughout the year,” Abdul Ajagun said to gazzetta.gr.
And the 21 - year - old reckons that the supporters have a huge role to play if Panathinaikos are to win their 18th title.
“I know that the world will be on our side as always as in every game since the beginning of the season.
“Trust us, they never left us alone and we will give everything to win against a good team like PAOK. As good as they are, if we play like we have proven that we can, then I think we will smile at the end,” he added.
Abdul Ajagun will come face to face with Liberia National Teamer Sekou Oliseh, who is also in the possession on a Nigerian passport, in the showdown at Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis, Athens.
